A0003 - Kostanjevica - The monument-signpost near Lokvica
Text description
The monument - signpost was erected in honour of Archduke Josef, the Commanding Officer of the 7th Austro-Hungarian Army Corps. It was built by the members of the 43rd k.u.k. Infantry Regiment from Karánsebes (today in Romania).

The same regiment also constructed a road named after the 7th Army Corps' commander - "ERZHERZOG JOSEPH STRASSE" (The Archduke Josef's Road). On the south side of the road, there once stood another inscription plaque, which is now missing.

On the rear is visible the inscription ERBAUT VOM K.u.K. IR 43 (built by the 43rd k.u.k Infantry Regiment). Part of the monument also has grenades placed on all corners and on the top of the monument.
