A0224 - Klanec pri Komnu - A monument dedicated to Hungarian units on Klanec
Text description
A monument dedicated to Hungarian units. A stone monument is standing on a three-stepped stone plinth. Today only two parts of the monument are still preserved namely the wider, square stone plinth, which contains a carved Hungarian coat-of-arms and a damaged inscription on his front side, and the main pillar part. Missing are the upper part of the pillar and the stone ball, which was placed on top of the pillarAround the monument was placed a small fence with small stone posts which were connected by a chain. Today only two such small posts are still standing. The monument was significantly damaged between both world wars and again after the Second World War.

The monument is standing by the road which is passes through the village of Klanec.
Condition
The monument and the surroundings are beautifully looked after by the local people who also put a picnic table and a bench under the nearby walnut tree.
